Got back last night after a mere 24 hrs door to door. (I could have cut this to 22 hours but couldn’t sleep so got up and went to airport.)
The real news is: everybody in Portugal, and I mean everybody, the Institute, EVERYBODY, now agrees the 1994 vintage is the best in the last hundred years. Maybe the best in the last 200 years. (the vintners wouldn’t feed me their 1810 stock so I could see for myself. bastards.)
Buy some of the ’94 Dalva on the SLGA shelves and drink it. It’s only 40 bucks folks! This is an extraordinary worldwide deal!
You can drink it now, or put it down for another hundred years. (if you drink it now, decant it… it’s loaded with sediment.)
